My mother and I have been discussing what will happen when she wins the lottery.
Not IF she wins the lottery, mind you... WHEN she wins the lottery.
I know she will win the lottery because she is the only woman who lives in North Carolina and still plays the Florida Lottery (we lived in Florida for :::::thinks::::: EVER).
We've decided we will open a cupcake "bar" in the middle of some unknown, yet perfect, area of Charlotte that is yet to be discovered.
We'll offer all sorts of cupcakes: vegan, carrot, low fat, die of Type 2 Diabetes inducing cupcakes, cupcakes that are really muffins but are called cupcakes because we want them to have a prettier name and it's our shop so you can suck it cupcakes.
Yeah, all of those.
I'm contemplating the conceptual design for our work uniforms...
So far I'm liking this idea:
I will, of course, change it up a bit. I think maybe we'll do vanilla with pink frosting. I'll also make the cupcake look less... hairy.
And maybe I'll install wheels on the bottom so we can roll up to people and take their order. I can hear the terrified, screaming babies now.
Awesome.

I like the pink frosting idea, maybe as a hat. LOL. I love delicious cupcakes, healthy(er) or not. I feel lucky because there is a bakery in Colorado that sells the BEST vegan desserts. You can't even tell. So delicious. Now I want a cupcake.
I'm pretty sure I saw a segment of the Today show back around Christmas where Hoda and Kathie Lee were modeling giant cupcake costumes. They were really pretty and certainly not hairy. And they were also on wheels.
So maybe you're idea isn't so far fetched after all. ; )
Interesting idea. I had a conversation with my hubby awhile back where I told him I'd love to open a small bakery. (mind you I have no *real* baking experience)
Good luck to your Mom with lottery! :)
This is cupcake week apparently. I've been making cupcakes like its going to become illegal to do so (which it probably should be..LOL) Check out my burger cupcakes over at www.gardengourmet.blogspot.com
Visiting from SITS. Love the cupcake idea!!
That's great! I will take 2 dozen of the type 2 diabetes inducing ones. I love the cupcake costume, too!
Happy SITS day! Congratulations on the 20 pounds. I wish I was as motivated. I love food way too much!

Good luck on your cupcake enterprise! Love the costume (oops, I mean uniform).
Congrats on your SITS day!
Mmmm, cupcakes! What a great idea. I agree, though ... a less hairy cupcake uniform would be more appetizing.
Great blog - happy SITS day! It's such an awesome experience! :)
how fun I hope she wins, I am visiting from SITS, I love your blog
I would totally support your cupcakes. And those outfits. (!!)
Why does that cupcake look hairy?? no good, no good at all. (I might still eat it)
My son and I love cupcake shops. We can never resist stopping in for one.
Stoppinig by from SITS. I love cupcakes.. what a great idea !
"less hairy"
HAHAHAHAH!
So funny! Where did you find that picture? Hilarious. Stopping by from SITS.
I love the idea. Cupcakes are my favorite thing in the entire universe. Plus, the fact that you actually mentioned vegan cupcakes makes me love you even more. Nobody actually includes vegans usually.
I love it!!
Let me know when you open the shop, I'll come down and try all the flavors!
That is hysterical!! I went to CupcakeCamp last week, so I'm all about the cupcakes. I hope that you and your mom get to open your cupcake bar. Sounds wonderful. ; )
Oh, I'm here from SITS!
Yummy cupcakes! What a fun business idea. I've been seeing these giant cupcake pans at the store lately and wonder to myself what's the purpose of a giant cupcake, wouldn't that just be a cake?
Any hoo! Happy Earth Day and Sits day too!
